Switchable Film Comes With New Features

The 3G Switchable Film TM represents a new generation of liquid crystal film and now available to the markets. By utilizing non-linear technology and nano-technology, the 3G Switchable Film shows many great advantages over old generations of LCD film ( like pdlc ). The advantages include ultra clearness (only 3% haze), very low driving voltage (20V), high

moisture resistance (no need for edge sealing) and much longer lifetime (100 millions time

on-off switching). The high quality of the 3G Switchable Film has been widely recognized and welcome into the switchable window marketplace. The 3G Switchable Film comes with two new major features, or feature of projection screen and feature of light diffusion. Combining switchable feature and projection screen feature creates a very useful Switchable Projection Screen. A perfect application for Switchable Projection Screen is store advertising on windows. The Switchable Projection Screen can be switched by a safe voltage (under 36 VAC) between clear and opaque.

In its clear state, the viewer can see through the 3G Switchable Film like a regular window (Picture 1). In its opaque state, the user can project an advertising program, presentation, video, TV or movie on it. Projected image on the window or film can be seen from both sides. The 3G Switchable Film provides an image that has absolutely wide viewing angle and VAI (Viewing Angle Independent or same brightness at different viewing angles) brightness. Since a micro spherical scattering mechanism of liquid crystals is utilized, it does not absorb and lose any

color from the projector, therefore, it presents the highest quality of true color. (Picture 2 and 3)

The 3G Switchable Film also has a supper diffusion power, which offers the most uniform diffused light without any “lunar halo”. Light diffusion is a fundamental requirement for our unique dual side view. This feature has been used in LED lighting system and TV system. Super diffusion power has been one of most difficult challenges of the image industry. Our great breakthrough is a result of our combination of both non-linear technology and nano- technology. In picture 4, The 3G Switchable film is shown on right side and regular liquid

crystal film is shown on left side. Both films are placed in front of a light source, such as a light bulb or projector. The 3G Film offers a very uniform brightness regardless a distance from the light source. This amazing diffusion capability may be utilized for many applications.
