CRB-S™ Cylindrical Radius Bender System for Solar Parabolic Shapes
The Glasstech CRB-S is a highly productive, very accurate and economical system capable of producing the shape conformity and quality demanded by the solar power industry. This tempering/heat strengthening/low-stress glass system produces large (low-iron) glass for parabolic solar reflectors. The innovative, new CRB-S can produce bends up to 1900mm x 1700mm (74.8″ x 67″) and is precise enough to produce glass suitable for laminating.
NEW CRB-S™ Glass Shaping & Processing System Advantages
•Innovation in parabolic trough glass production
•Based on 15+ years of proven core technology
•Glass strengthening and flexibility
◦Tempered – 4–5 times stronger than annealed glass
◦Heat strengthened – 2 times stronger than annealed glass
◦Low stress – Similar to annealed glass
•Bending thickness from 1.6mm–5mm (0.63″–3/16″) or thicker
•No tooling required
•Fully automated and computer-controlled
•Highly accurate part shapes meet industry requirements
•Significant energy savings over conventional methods
Precision, Repeatability, Energy Efficiency and High Volume = Lower Part Cost
See brochure and product sheet for additional details

EPB-S™ External Press Bender System
The Glasstech EPB-S tempering/heat strengthening system was developed to produce very high quality bent parts economically, with an emphasis on creating highly accurate shapes while minimizing tooling costs. It’s ideal for the production of smaller, high volume spherical and parabolic shapes for CSP and CPV. EPB-S features fast cycle times and highly accurate perimeter and surface tolerances. The most productive EPB systems can produce 900 parts per hour.
EPB-S™ Glass Shaping & Processing System Advantages
•Versatile, complex-bend glass processing
•Spherical and parabolic shape capability
•Scalable
•Single and dual stream options
•Can achieve a 3.5-second cycle time, depending on part configuration
•Glass strengthening and flexibility
◦Tempered – 4–5 times stronger than annealed glass
◦Heat strengthened – 2 times stronger than annealed glass
◦Low-stress glass option
•Independently bent parts suitable for lamination
•Precision and energy savings
•Low tooling cost
Precision, Repeatability and High Volume = Lower Part Cost
See brochure and product sheet for additional details

DB 4-S™ Advanced Deep Bend & Tempering System

ERH-S™ Electric Radiant Heater Flat Glass Tempering System
The Glasstech ERH-S continuous flat glass tempering system is ideal for processing high transmission (low-iron) cover panel and active (coated superstrate) glass, as well as clear glass for PV panels. Options incorporate Glasstech’s patented Profiled Convection™ system to assist in processing coated/TCO glass at greater efficiencies.
ERH-S™ Continuous Glass Strengthening System Advantages
•High precision production
•Excellent uptime and reliability
•Proven technology
•Ability to process:
◦Low-iron glass
◦Low-iron textured glass
◦TCO-coated glass for photovoltaics
Precision, Repeatability and High Volume = Lower Part Cost
See brochure and product sheet for additional details.

FCH-S™ Forced Convection Heater Flat Glass Tempering System
Glasstech FCH-S technology has become the definitive method for heating glass that does not easily respond to electric radiant heat. The system is ideal for heat-treating active, high light transmission (low-iron) smooth or textured cover panels, rigid back panels and clear glass for PV panels. With full convection heating, FCH-S requires less facility space for productivity equivalent to electric radiant heaters. In addition, FCH-S offers an energy cost-saving solution alternative in locales where natural gas is a more attractive fuel supply.
FCH-S™ Continuous Glass Strengthening System Advantages
•High precision production
•Gas fired cost advantage, depending on location
•Superior heating including coated glass products
•Proven technology
•Ability to process:
◦Low-iron glass
◦Low-iron textured glass
◦TCO-coated glass for photovoltaics
•Meets stringent PV industry flatness standards
•Less facility space required for equivalent productivity
•Robustly built for long life and capability
•Systems running around the world
Precision, Repeatability, Energy Savings and High Volume = Lower Part Cost
Glasstech FCH-S is the definitive system for the high quality, low cost production of coated glass products.
